Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School took place the week of June 8-12. What a great success! We had more than 55 children registered along with over 30 adult and youth volunteers. We had so much fun learning about God and God's promises as we gathered each night at the Crocodile Dock. I heard several parents say that their children wanted to continue VBS all summer long! We finished our week with an ice cream social sponsored by the United Methodist Men. What a delicious way to end our week! Our mission project this year was "Nothing But Nets." We raised money to help 51 families to have a net to protect them from mosquitoes carrying malaria. Many thanks to all who helped to make this a wonderful week, and a special thanks to IWU student, Sarah Casey, our VBS director this year. Way to go! (by Melissa Plank)
